Today is the Zingerman’s Community of Businesses’ 35th anniversary! The Deli opened in a little brick building on Detroit street on March 15, 1982, and since then, we’ve really grown, expanding to 10 businesses in the Ann Arbor area. We couldn’t have done it without you, and in return, we promise to keep getting better and better. We’ve also planned a whole year of fun.

To celebrate this milestone, every month we’ll be putting a different Zingerman’s business in the spotlight. You’ll find cool promotions, entertaining classes, limited edition products and more all across the ZCoB! The highlight of the year will be on August 12th when we throw a huge street fair party! Come help us celebrate at the Ann Arbor Farmer’s Market and hobnob with some of the world’s most famous food makers. The evening affair will feature oodles of vendors, loads of great food to taste, and awesome music—all for free! Mark your calendars.

We’re excited to bring together the people who make great food and the people who love to eat it. You’ll have the chance to hear stories directly from the people who make the food, and you’ll get to sample the great stuff they make.

But the real reason for our celebration is to appreciate you! Without the support of the Ann Arbor community, we wouldn’t be here. Thank you for helping to make the last 35 years so remarkable.
