Jelly Bean Jump Up Starts Today! Help Support Safe House
Help us honor a great dog who was SafeHouse Center’s neighbor for nearly 17 years during our Second Annual Jelly Bean Jump Up. Jelly Bean, recognized by thousands who regularly drove on Clark Road and throughout the Zingerman’s Community, passed away peacefully in May 2015. Known to many as “Jelly Bean the Jogger Dog,” or “that little dog jogging with that tall guy,” she was the beloved corgi companion of Zingerman’s co-founder Ari Weinzweig, and for most of their 17 years together, they jogged and walked past SafeHouse Center. Her loving personality modeled the kind of positive belief, hope and spirit of generosity that SafeHouse Center is all about.
Safehouse Center makes it safe for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and their children in our community, providing important services to those in need and offering shelter and support to those impacted by domestic violence or sexual assault. SafeHouse provides free and confidential services for anyone that lives or works in Washtenaw County and has been victimized. Its services include emergency shelter for those in danger of being hurt or killed, counseling, legal advocacy, support groups, and especially, hope.
Jelly Bean Jump Up starts today and runs through February 28. Here are three ways you can give:
