Available in these flavors: raspberry preserves with powdered sugar, chocolate pudding with sweetened cocoa, sweet ricotta cheese with powdered sugar, rose hip jam with vanilla glaze, or plum jam with vanilla glaze. These once unheard of figs have become so popular that our importer often has trouble keeping them in stock. They’re so good it makes me wonder why they didn’t become popular sooner. Tender, sweeter than usual parito figs are dried, filled with soft chocolate truffle cream and a hint of liqueur, then dipped in dark chocolate. They’re as good as they sound, perhaps better! And they beat your mall-bought chocolates any day!

While our celebration will be quite a bit tamer than the one happening 1000 miles south, we will celebrate Fat Tuesday the best way we know how – with rich, delicious Creole cuisine, NOLA inspired cocktails and interesting conversation, making the Roadhouse the next best place to be if you can’t make it to New Orleans yourself.
