Oysters and Bubbles at Zingerman’s Roadhouse

Featuring TJ Evans, winemaker from Domaine Carneros.

In 1987, Claude Taittinger, president of Champagne Taittinger, selected a beautiful parcel of land in California’s wine country to be the site of his future winery, Domaine Caneros. He chose Eileen Crane to be the property’s first and only winemaker. And the rest, as they say, is history. Known as America’s Doyenne of Sparkling Wine, Eileen has amassed a wealth of experience in 30 years of solidifying the winery’s excellent reputation in the sparkling wine industry. In Domaine Carneros she has created an organization that we at the Roadhouse greatly admire.

On Tuesday, December 8th, 7pm, some of our favorite pairings, oysters and sparkling wine, will come together in this very special special dinner. Zingerman’s Roadhouse is honored to welcome Domaine Carneros winemaker TJ Evans, who will share Domaine Carneros story and his own love for great wine.Chef Alex has created a menu of fresh oyster selections to complement both the sparkling wines, and to showcase Alex’s favorite wine, the very special Domaine Carneros Pinot Noir. Price for this dinner includes wine pairings, tax and gratuity. Additional bottles of your favorite wines will also be available to purchase.

$95 a person (includes dinner, wine pairings, tax and gratuity)

ZingTrain Speaker Series: Ari Weinzweig

Ari’s first ever presentation on this fascinating subject, come to this Speaker Series session on Wednesday, December 16th, 8-930am, for a chance to hear some of what he’s learned about hope during the work on his soon-to-be-released book — Zingerman’s Guide to Good Leading series, Part 4 – A Lapsed Anarchist’s Approach to the Power of Beliefs in Business.

The idea of hope is hardly new—it comes up in conversation, in casual discussion and bits of casual daydreaming nearly every day. But it turns out that hope isn’t just something to have casually in hand as we pass through our days—it’s a critical contributor to the way your organization and your life operate. Hope, studies are showing, correlates with better work performance, better health, better scholastic and athletic performance. Working without hope, on the other hand, leads to despair and disengagement. The good news is that we can mindfully work to cultivate hope within our organizations, and to reduce the number of times we inadvertently take away hope from those we work with.

COME to this session to hear Ari share his :

NEWLY EMERGING THINKING on the role of hope in the workplace
CONCRETE TIPS on how to both avoid the negative impact we can create when we inadvertently dash the hopes of our coworkers
PRACTICAL WAYS we can work to actively cultivate hope.
The costs of building hope are very low, the benefits are huge. We hope you can make it.
